3 Weeks

We started this journey when I made my announcement in December. At that time, May seemed so far away and it felt like it would take forever to get to this point. Although there were points that time seemed to creep by, these past few months have certainly flown by.

We are now three weeks away from the Primary and early voting has already started yet there are still events to attend and doors to knock on. We will be holding our third Meet and Greet this weekend, May 4th 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the Beaverdam Fire Department. I knew when I started campaigning that I would not have the time to get to every door in our county so we wanted to make an attempt to have these gatherings at different areas throughout the county to meet as many people as possible. In addition to events and door to door campaigning we have been blessed to have many people throughout the county helping us by talking to others as well. I truly appreciate each and every person that has helped the campaign in any way!

As we move through these next three weeks I know that the work is not over. After the election we will begin the process of preparing to take office in January, this process will be lengthy and there will be much to do. Change takes time and I will make sure that it is done as efficiently as possible as we work toward a Sheriff's Office for the citizens of Oglethorpe County.

I look forward to the future and what it has in store for our county.
